Place of breed «von Winikon»
Since more than 10 years, Corinne Kaufmann-Mayer is breeding Portuguese Waterdogs in Winikon, which is located in the heart of Switzerland.
1989 "FAROL DO VALE NEGRO" came from Portugal to Winikon. With him, the history of my breed began. On the 23. June 2005 the 12th litter of "VON WINIKON" was born.
My dogs get controled for HD and ED. The eyes get also controled by a genetic test. Regular vaccination and treating against worms guarantees the good health of my dogs. Many successes and the beauty of my dogs gives proof of de seriousity of my breeding activities. Not less important are the wonderful carateristics of these animals.
As strict I select my breeding dogs, as strict I also choose the future owners of my puppies.

In
the heart of Switzerland
I live together
with my husband Ernst (45) and our three sons David(22), Michael(20) and Ivan(19)
in Winikon which is located in the canton of Lucerne. About 800 habitants
live in this small village, surrounded of a wonderful landscape. We hold Pigs
ond our farm and plant mostly corn and grain on our acres.
Winikon is located in the valley of Surental. That's why a lot of our walks
take us on the bank of the river "Sure". No wonder, that my dogs
take every possibility to swim in the fresh water.
